Reporting

As the Appalachia Health News Reporter at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, an NPR member station based in Charleston, W.Va., I reported on a variety of health topics across the region. Alongside my written reporting, I produced audio stories, which aired on All Things Considered weekly and our station’s weekly podcast, West Virginia Week. As part of my role, I covered the state’s legislative actions, appearing on The Legislature Today, a broadcast television show the station produces daily during the annual session. I supplied original photographic and video content to support stories and live social media coverage of newsworthy events. I developed and maintained community relationships to ensure community events were covered.
